President Biden's No Surprises Act mandates are just around the corner and the medical field is scurrying to understand what this means to their practices and what new process must be implemented to be in compliance.

Providers will be required to provide patients written notice and consent 72 hours in advance of appointments at facilities, and documentation that the provider included a good faith estimate of the cost of their out of network services. This and several other practices are to be implemented prior to the January 1, 2022 deadline. Click on the American Medical Association link below for a high level summary of the Act.
